CONTROLS & INSTRUMENTATION
Incinerators are equipped with an automatic control and instrumentation system to assure equipment operations
are conducted in a safe and controlled manner. The design safety standards for these systems are always based upon
well-established safety guidelines (National Fire Protection Agency, Factory Mutual, etc.) as well as customer
provided criteria. The control system monitors conditions necessary for safe operation (flame light-off sequences,
fuel pressure, flame monitoring, and so forth.), and actively regulates all conditions necessary to achieve the
desired performance levels (such as incinerator temperature, vent stack oxygen concentration, and others).
